Finding violation of industrial and safety rules by Bokaro Power Supply Company Private limited (BPSCl), a case has been lodged in the CJM Court Bokaro by Factory Inspector officials on Thursday.
Case was lodged by Awadash Kumar Singh, Inspector Factories Bokaro against the chief executive officer BPSCl Rakesh Bhargva and AK Mitra general manager of the company.
During the inspection on 30 January 2013 officials found several irregularities in following the industrial and safety norms, said Singh.
“Company is not concerned about the health of the workers, works on the hazardous place. There is no provision of their regular health check-ups”, he added.Beside others we have also found irregularities in overtime wage payment to the workers. According to the norms BPSCl is not paying double wages for overtime, Singh said.
“There is no provision of ‘Rest Rooms’ for the worker inside the plant, register of contract laborers are also not updated”, he added.
After repeated reminder company did not pay heed to the issues. And finally I was compelled to lodge a case at CJM court, said Singh.
