The Bokaro police recovered and defused one cane bomb at Sarubera –Palamu main road here on Monday evening .The explosive was laid by Ultras targetting the Nawadih and CRPF police personnel in the area.
Bokaro Superintendent of police A Vijaya laxami while confirming the matter said a death trap was laid by the squads of most dreaded Maoists. However, the Nawadih Police and CRPF managed to escape.
According to police sources a joint team of the Nawadih police and CRPF led by officer-in-charge Anand Kumar Jha recovered 20 kg of cane bomb from inside a culvert near Deliaam village under the Nawadih police station, a few Km from police station on Monday.
However, Nawadih police are on high alert .The cane bomb was recovered in the evening following a tip off given by an anonymous caller to the Nawadih police .
