Passengers of the east central railway under Dhanbad railway division of the CIC section have taken a sigh of relief. The railways have decided not to cancel any pair of trains for the period September 21 to 27.
Sources said the CPI Maoists have their Foundation Day in this period September 21 to 27.
The railways had recently suffered destruction of its property worth crores recently in latehar when the Maoists blew up the railway track getting 24 coal laden wagons of a goods train and its engine completely destroyed in this land mining activity.
On September 20 the railways announced the cancellation of 3 pair of passengers trains on this route which pass at night for reasons of safety of the railway passengers and its own property. However the same September 20 the railways withdrew its cancellation order too getting assured of protection from its own railway forces and the district administration..
The railway traffic inspector A K Sinha has confirmed this saying the railways first definitely announced the cancellation of 3 pair of passenger trains on this route for the period September 21 to 27 but within hours revoked this order in the larger interest of the passengers in this puja time.
Now no passenger train is any cancelled on this route said the railway official.
