Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary Tarun Chugh during a programme ‘Beti Bacchao Beti Padhao’ said that India can never become a super-power without the support of women and without engaging them in important-decision making units.
He urged to all the participants present on the occasion to take the central government’s ambitious initiative of educating and empowering girls ahead by eradicating the malpractice of female foeticide, dowry system completely. Chugh while addressing women also requested them to make Jharkhand, a model State by setting example in supporting girls by developing a secure atmosphere for females here that can nurture their dreams.
“The initiative ‘Beti Bacchao Beti Padhao’ started on January 22, 2015 by PM Narendra Modi from Karnal district must be transformed into a mission to bring change in society. BJP is the only party that has taken up this vital social issue,” said Chugh. He further added that in comparison to the early and medieval age, the heinous practice of killing a girl child inside a mother womb has drastically increased during mid 1980 and till date cannot be completely curtailed.
Similarly, Minister Women and Child Development, louis Marandi besides sharing the State government scheme details with the participants, she too appealed to the women present in the programme to take a pledge that no discrimination will be made or accepted between a girl and a boy child.
“All the social evils those are still rampant in our society is due to our incompetency and unawareness about our rights. It is our responsibility to fight against injustice and lead the society towards the correct direction. Female child birth in a family must be celebrated as a festival and awareness must be created regarding this as much as possible,” Marandi added.
