Cadets of Sainik School Tilaiya have proved their mettle yet again when they bagged top positions in various Olympiads conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation.
Cadet Shivansh Bhat brought laurels to the school when he won Gold Medal and topped the State of Jharkhand in the 17th National Science Olympiad. He also achieved state rank 14th in the International Mathematics Olympiad and stood 17th in the state in the 14th National Cyber Olympiad. He won a Trophy and cheque of Rs 5000/- for excellence in Academics awarded to him by Science Olympiad Foundation. Cadet Vaibhav and Cadet Sourav Kumar stood 7th and 13th in the National Cyber Olympiad respectively and received merit certificates. Cadet Aditya stood 15th in National Science Olympiad. He also received a cheque of Rs 2500/-. Cadet Surya Pratap and Cadet Aditya Kaushik stood 2nd in the state in International Mathematics Olympiad and received cheque of Rs 5000/- each while Cadet Rishabh Kumar stood 3rd in International Mathematics Olympiad and received a cheque of Rs 1000/-. The other cadets who bagged respectable position in the 8th International Mathematics Olympiad include Cadet Bhupendra Kumar, cadet Himanshu Kumar (Rank-9th), Cadet Vikrant Kumar Rana (Rank-19th), Cadet Rajan Mehta (Rank-24th), Cadet Vishal Kumar (Rank-26th), Cadet Kumar Deepak (Rank-13th), Cadet Bimal Kumar (Rank-22nd), Cadet Shahil Shubham (Rank-23rd), Cadet Badal Kumar (Rank-25th) and Cadet Ayush Kumar (Rank-18th) and they also got merit certificates.
Colonel VK Bhat, Principal, extolled the cadets for outstanding perfomance in the various Olympiads. He further stated that the cadets of the school have been performing well in various competitive exams and encouraged them to actively participate in International level competitions like the Olympiads to boost their self confidence and test their level of knowledge and talent among the best.
