The Cabinet also okayed Jharkhand Government Employees Act, 2016 clarifying rules for giving punishment to the employees of the State Government. A total of 11 proposals were passed during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
“Anganwadi children of the age group 3-6 years will be given egg and seasonal fruits three days a week along with the regular food items. Initially, it will be started in three districts – Ranchi, Dumka and East Singhbhum as a pilot project and will be extended later to other districts after reviewing the outcome in these three districts,” said Cabinet Secretary SS Meena. Presently, the scheme has been rolled out for three months only, he added.

Hence, courts used to dismiss the punishments given at the level of state governments as constitutional provisions were not followed properly against the Government officials,” said Meena.
Government officials, under Article 310 and 311 of Indian Constitution have been provided special immunity, added Meena.
The cabinet also gave its approval for Mukhyamantri Nihshulk Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening Scheme under which women will be able to undergo free of cost check-up and remedial for uterus and breast cancer.
