The State Cabinet on Wednesday gave its nod to the long awaited proposal of ensuring domicile policies in the recruitment of third and fourth grade jobs, especially in Scheduled Area districts of Jharkhand.

“Following announcement of the domicile policy  and beginning the process of appointments in Scheduled Area districts, a large number of appointments are being done across Jharkhand, hence the Cabinet has given its nod to the proposal of execution of the locals policy in filling up those vacancies,” said Cabinet Secretary SS Meena.

“A decision had earlier been taken that a local resident of Jharkhand will be given priority to fill up the vacancy, if he/she is at par in fulfilling the eligibility criteria with the candidates from outside,” he added.

This will be applicable only in non-Scheduled Area districts where only domicile of that particular district is not mandatory for filling up the forms.

A total of 19 proposals were passed during the meeting.

“Following the status of agriculture given to dairy farming, the dairy farmers will be eligible for getting loan on the rates given to the agricultural farmers. Besides, they will get electricity on the rates of agricultural farmers for any activity related to dairy farming, and could also avail the facility of Kisan Credit Card,” said Meena, adding the insurance companies could also be directed to determine minimum premium rates for the milch cattle.
