The denizens of lohardaga have to face a lot of problems due to delayed construction of bypass road. Many a vehicles travel along the city per day and due to this a traffic choke has become the common problem at every chowk of the city.
This causes the chances of accidents too. The people have been demanding for the road for a long time but due to the passive attitude of the representatives, the construction work has not been completed till yet. The bypass road was to be constructed from Oyna Mode to Baxi Dipa.
In the first phase, the construction from Oyna mode to Gangu Pada was inaugurated by Sukhdeo Bhagat in 2008. Implementation was under REO Company.
The road construction was given to AS Construction. At first the work was in progress but due to some misunderstanding between the estimation department and the bidders, the matter was taken to the court and since then it has been stopped.
By construction of the By pass road from Koyna to Baxi Dipa a total of 12 KM the people may get rid of the problem of traffic jam. The work was to be done in two phases. But after delay in the starting phase the work has been stopped. All the leader and representatives have not succeeded to construct the road in Bauxite city lohardaga.
The secretary of Congress party Kanwaljeet Singh, Ezaz Malik and Sagar Verma met to the officers of Municipal Corporation and land acquisition officer. They were told that the estimated amount has not been got and besides it the work of land acquisition is still remained. For it the letter was written to the MC on 21 Nov 2013 and 26 Apr 2014. But they had not been any reply from the MC. The leaders said that the work should be completed as soon as possible.
There is a wind of dissatisfaction in the people of the city for not constructing the road in time. Ritesh Kumar the secretary of lohardaga Chamber of Commerce and Dharmendra Kumar of Truck owner association said that the construction of the by pass road is the need of the hour from the commercial and pollution point of view.
