'Bureaucracy is guilty for condition of State'

Published on:

For the ill-state of Jharkhand, we the politicians are guilty but bureaucracy of the state is guiltier. It was stated by Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha in a PC held at Circuit House on Tuesday late evening. He said that in the situation of political instability role of bureaucracy becomes more important. He said that the President and PM office responds to the letters of citizens but here officers do not even send acknowledgement to Central Minister’s and MP’s letter. He tabled many such letters as example.

When he was asked “Do you agree with the statement of Jairam Ramesh made on bureaucracyIJ”, Sinha appeared to lose temper. He said that Jairam behaves as Governor at Ranchi and as District Collectors in other parts of the state. So don’t ask me anything about what he said or not.

On Babulal Marandi’s statement Yashwant said that he is feeling hurt. He said that attending parliament for allowance is contempt of parliament. Marandi had commented that I do not go to parliament for allowances. On his comment regarding president rule Sinha advised Marandi to accept the reality and said that we the MPs met the Governor for the betterment of the state not for confirming president rule and everybody knows here that who was with Congress during last election.

Sinha informed that in the Raj Bhawan meeting he raised the matter of strikes of collectorate and non-teaching staffs of the universities. They assured us that to fulfill their demands exercise is going on and very soon result will come out.

On president rule he said that now the parliament has confirmed it so assembly should be dissolved. He informed that he has just written a letter to Home Minister Shinde to write to Election Commission to finish the election work in Jharkhand before 19th July 2013 which is the last date of this term of president rule.

Will the parliament election 2014 be a battle between Modi vs. Rahul, he smiled and said “Wait for sometimes, very soon everything will be clear”.

On civic poll 2013 Yashwant announced that Ex-President of Hazaribagh Municipal Council Anjali Kumari is our candidate once again. last time she got only 11 month time to serve and due to an interim order of Jharkhand High Court she remained out of office for the rest period.

Regarding Kodarma-Hazaribagh railway line he shared that work of a three kilometer patch is pending and since the matter is in court so the authorities are waiting for the verdict which is likely to come on 3rd April. It will hardly take two months time so I can say that the railway line will be complete by 30th June, he added.
