The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is playing an important role in winning the battle against Covid-19. To meet the need of liquid medical oxygen in the country, SAIL is supplying oxygen produced by the its oxygen plant located in its various States daily in order to help in the treatment of patients requiring oxygen immediately to fight Covid-19.
In this series, BSL dispatched liquid medical oxygen from Oxygen Express in four tankers to Lucknow Uttar Pradesh at 1.40 PM on Sunday. About 50 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen was there in tankers. Also, around 4 pm, another rake reached Bokaro from Lucknow.
It is noteworthy that since August 2020, more than 6900 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen has been supplied from Bokaro Steel Plant. Also, in view of the increasing requirement of liquid medical oxygen in the country, Bokaro Steel Plant is also ready to increase the production of liquid medical oxygen to handle crises effectively.
