A meeting of union representatives was organized with SAIL Director (Technical) cum BSL CEO Harinand Rai.
In the meeting, on behalf of BSL, Director-in-charge AK Singh , ( Executive and Administration) R Kushwaha, (Executive and Material Management Director) VK Pandey, Executive Director (Finance and Accounts) DK Saha, Executive Director (Operations) Atanu Bhowmik,Chief General Manager (Personnel) Pawan Kumar ( Department of Personnel)etc. were present following the social distancing.
The meeting was attended by BN Chaubey General Secretary of BSWU (INTUC), Ramashraya Prasad Singh,General Secretary of BIKU (AITUC), BD Prasad Joint General Secretary of IMM(CITU), Rajendra Singh General Secretary, KIMS (HMS), BSRMS (BMS) BinodKumar, General Secretary of JJMS BK Chaudhary , Sangram Singh GeneralSecretary of KIMS (SS) participated.
At the outset, General Manager (Personnel) SS Singh welcomed everyone at the meeting and told everyone the purpose of the meeting. Rai, Director (Technical) cum BSL of SAIL, while addressing the union representatives, apprised the plant and priorities, steel industry scenario and future plans. He called for everyone’s participation in the progress of BSL, outlining the proposed capacity in expansion of Bokaro Steel Plant, the challenges related to Covid-19 and the priorities related to the plant and township.
Union representatives present during the discussion also gave their views on the plant, Bokaro General Hospital, township, workers related issues and other important issues and gave suggestions for betterment. At the end of the meeting the greeting of thanks was given by General Manager (Personnel) Prabhakar Kumar.
