Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Indo-Russian relations, an interaction programmr with the Russian experts working in various SAIl plants was organized by Bokaro Steel Plant (BSl) at its HRD Centre on Monday.
The programme was attended by Russian experts from Bhilai, Durgapur, Rourkela and Bokaro Steel Plants; chaired by BSl CEO PK Singh. Beside others Executive Directors, GMs and other senior officials of BSl were also present on the occasion.
The programme started with a welcome address by Executive Director (Works), BSl SK Singh in which he enumerated the contribution of Russian experts in Bokaro Steel Plant. A short film dating back to the construction stage of Bhilai and Bokaro Steel Plants displayed on this occasion beautifully captured the essence of Indo-Russian friendship.
In his address on this special occasion, BSl CEO acknowledged the contribution of Russian experts in setting-up of Bokaro and Bhilai Steel plants. Expressing his gratitude towards them, he highlighted their technical expertise in Blast Furnace operations and other important areas. He went on to add that with the passage of time, the required skills in steel plant operations had been acquired in our plants but the assistance of Russian experts from time to time was still quite useful.
Hailing the long tradition of Indo-Russian friendship, he expressed hope that the two great nations would continue to work together in various fields, including the steel sector in the days ahead. Representative of the Russian experts in India Ismail Mazanaev also highlighted the close ties between the two countries and expressed his willingness to carry forward this rich legacy.It must be mentioned here that both the countries have maintained cordial land fruitful relationship in a numbere of areas and it has historical backing. And Russian experience has worked wonders for India.
During the interaction program, a presentation on the subject “Significant Achievements” was made by both the Russian experts and BSl team. This was followed by a discussion on relevant issues by the teams. later in the afternoon, BSl CEO felicitated the Russian experts as recognition of their contribution in SAIl.
