Bringing smile for tribals sole motive: CM

Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that bringing smile on the faces of tribal people of this State was his sole motive. Addressing a gathering at the occasion of World Tribal Day at Morhabadi Football stadium in Ranchi, Das also assured that not a single tribal will be duped or cheated anymore of this State.
“During my visit to the tribal villages during election campaigns, I saw the distress they have been going through and had took a pledge that if ever I became Chief Minister of this State, the sole motive of my Government will be to bring smile on the faces of these people,” said Das.
Das however, appealed that he needed peace for bringing in development to this state. “Development could not be possible without peace. Peace and development are complimentary to each other and hence there is a need to sit together for solving each and every issue arising among us. If every citizen of this state moves forward unanimously, no one can stop this state to become a developed state within the next five years,” said CM.
Das further added that the State Government, in order to restore proprietary of land back to the tribal people, has also formed a Special Investigating Team (SIT) which will start functioning by August 15.“I personally appeal to all the ex-proprietor brothers and sisters to register their complaints with the SIT who have ever been duped or cheated of their land by anyone,” said the CM. Complaints could also be registered online from August 15, added the CM.
According to Das, tribal people have been closely related to the nature since ages and are also supposed to be complementary to each other and also have a glimpse of nature in them. “We also need to think that are they getting the respect they ought to have,” he said.
Referring to the incident of witch hunting which took place at Mandar where five women were lynched on Friday midnight, CM added that the incident compel the society to think over about definition of development and reality. “I don’t believe it to be a result of superstition. Rather I believe it to be a result of illiteracy and underdevelopment.”
