UBI AGM takes charge
Assistant General Manager Loknath Sahu took over as Deputy Zonal Head, Union Bank of India, Zonal Office, Ranchi. It is to be noted that after the amalgamation and reorganization of Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank with Union Bank of India with effect from 01.04.2020, Loknath Sahu is the first Deputy Zonal Head of Zonal Office, Ranchi. After the said amalgamation and reorganization, a total of five regional offices (Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bhagalpur, Patna, Samastipur) under the state of Jharkhand and Bihar will function under Zonal Office Ranchi. Earlier Loknath Sahu was posted in Bhubaneswar Regional Office of Corporation Bank. He has more than 20 years of banking experience. Sahu was welcomed by senior bank officials while following social distancing norms.
Pad machine installed at XISS
On the behest of Mahagama MLA Deepika Pandey Singh a sanitary pad vending machine was installed and inaugurated at XISS on Tuesday by Jharkhand Pradesh Professional Congress Committee and Rotary Club. “This is very commendable work being done and it will run in the entire State in the coming days. It will make women independent and once word spreads, it will also help them in avoiding any diseases.” President of Professional Congress Aditya Vikram Jaiswal said that under Swatha Jharkhand Samridh Jharkhand sanitary pad vending machines will be installed all over the State. Director XISS Father Joseph Marion Kujur, Secretary Khyati Munjal, Rotary President Aditya Malhotra, and others were present on the occasion.

Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi organized a four-day webinar on Public Speaking skills. Parnab Mukherjee, a Quiz Master, Social Activist, Journalist and a Writer was the key speaker who discussed the key elements of Public Speaking, Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. All the four sessions were interactive as the students were given the opportunity to speak and share their views. The students learnt how to conduct themselves when on stage, when participating in group discussions and when they face an interview. This training is set to make students smarter and even more confident in future.
