The Congress again presented a divided house on Sunday when its members came face to face over the suspension of Roshan lal Bhatia. Some party members opposed the decision in an extended working committee meeting called.
Questioning the decision of the disciplinary committee which had ordered suspension of Bhatia from the party and issued a show cause notice against them, the agitated members were instead demanding removal of Bhatia from the party like 12 other leaders were by the same panel. The meeting also saw members expressing sentiments about contesting Assembly polls alone. PCC president Sukhdeo Bhagat assured that the high command would be appraised with the sentiments.
