Miscreants hurled bomb at the house of a well-known businessman Ganesh Giri on Friday evening November 8 when Giri’s family was in the house after doing Chhath puja on the nearby Koyal ghat in Daltonganj. However, no major loss has been reported. Giri lives at Nawa Hata a congested area where existed once a dome toli.

Giri has lodged an FIR said the officer incharge of the Daltonganj police station Manoj Thakur who said the police have seized the residue of the crude bomb which is a kind of a sutlee bomb.

People of a dalit community are on the radar of the police. A sizeable number of families have been driven out from the area where Giri has his house and the dalits have blamed him for this while the truth is that administration removed the encroachments of the community in the area under order of the High Court Ranchi in a matter of a PIl filed.

Police said a person from the community is suspected to be involved in this kind of acts. Police vigil has been beefed up in the area. The people of the community are provoking the police to arrest them to launch a stir as one or two political outfits have thrown their weight behind them .
