The residents of Khirgaon mohallah and adjoining areas of the town once again heard the sound of big blast which took place in the house of ward councilor of ward 19, Akthar Ansari’s house on Saturday morning. Akthar Ansari is the named accused of Habibinagar blast case which has occurred on the day of Ramnavmi this year and is absconding since then.
According to SP Bheemsen Tuti Md Altaf, brother of Akthar Ansari has started reconstruction work in the old paternal house. Six workers were engaged in the work of demolishing an old room of that house when explosion took place.
locals say that as a worker was cutting the soil and in this course his tool hit the bomb hidden there. It exploded and due to this explosion some workers got seriously injured.
However, SP said that the workers were throwing bricks of the old house down on the ground which hit the bomb kept in the garbage.
After getting information DSP Dinesh Kumar Gupta and OIC sadar Jeetendra Kumar Singh rushed to the spot but in the mean time the injured workers were carried to some unknown place for treatment and the site was cleaned by the family members of the absconding ward councilors. The police team collected some evidences from the spot and in the presence of magistrate Kumud Kumar Jha the adjacent room was sealed.
In the evening a six member team of ATS reached Hazaribagh from Ranchi and visited the spot and has started investigation.
Meanwhile police has started search operation of the injured workers. One worker who had got nose injury was found and was treated in sadar hospital while two seriously injured are still traceless. Police has detained two other workers to enquire about the incident. An FIR has been lodged in sadar PS in which Altaf Ansari, brother of absconding ward councilor Akthar Ansari has been made named accused along with other family members.
