The incident of rape of a woman (a 50 years old widow) by an auto-rickshaw driver under the Pindrajora police station is a rumour. She was not raped, but she is suffering from excessive bleeding disease, reveals a medical report. “The medical laboratory report clearly says that the woman was not raped; she is mentally retarded and suffering from excessive bleeding disease,” informed S Kujur OC of Chas Woman Police Station.
Some persons wrongly presented facts, and fewer media also reported wrongly for her alleged rape incident, police said. One of her relatives also informed us that the woman was ill for the past few days. On Monday, she left home without informing anyone, said Kujur.
Meanwhile, the woman is under treatment at Sadar Hospital, told to police that she was ill and rushed to Sadar Hospital for treatment. “I rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw; the driver is well-known to me,” she said to police.
