Under the leadership of Director Incharge (DIC) BSL Amarendu Prakash, Bokaro Steel Plant is not only focused on plant production but township Maintenance is also under prime consideration of improvement which is almost visible everywhere & with almost new team the work of entire township has taken exponential turn around as maximum repair works of blocks, roads etc either completed and those pending are mainly due constraints of frequent rain and all expected to resume soon.
The efforts & approach towards township development pertaining to the past and since the inception of DIC Prakash with new team one can imagine the return back of glories which used to be the identity of Bokaro Steel city.
As per COC BSL Manikant Dhan Presently, extensive maintenance work is going on in about 52 blocks in various sectors. Maintenance work completed in about 212 blocks last year which was truly a commendable job , This year after the monsoon, the plan of external repair of the entire Sector 4 houses constitute execution of repair approx. 360 buildings in total , There is also plan of repairing of overhead tanks and roof leaks of various sectors of residences including various community centre of BSL. Preparation is almost done for repair of about 80 km of street road in Sector 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12 along with previous phase completion of remaining street roads of Sector 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 . Re-construction of RCC road from Dundibagh Mod (Sector 12) to Zap Mod (Four Lane) ,Repair of main road from Birsa Chowk (Naya Mod) to Mansa Singh Gate (Marfari). Special attention towards repair of crucial road leading to sector 11 railway crossing connecting City to Dhanbad are under final phase of execution as the same was also raised recently during a joint meeting of MLA B Narayan and New ED BSL (P&A) Sameer Swarup.
Also work of almost 80% completed on installation of 4000 new LED street lights for better lighting in the entire city with energy saving approach, Foundation level Preparation started to install 40 new high mast lights in township area, Drainage repair work started extensively at city centre and also in the town ship to solve the problem of water logging, Plan to develop average 3 play ground with all facilities in each sector. Also renovation of BSL operated school buildings are under process of renovation. Overall the new team of BSL working day and night to nullify the gaps & perceptions developed of the past & to bring radical changes which this glittering city always deserved.
