With the aim to replace firewood with gas for cooking, the Bokaro district administration is all set to launch Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in all 256 panchayats in the district on June 18, 2017.
The day -long camp would be organized in all panchayats from 8 am to 12 pm on coming Sunday, said Bokaro DC Rai Mahipat Ray.
As on information provided by DC office Bokaro, the Gas connection with stove will be given free of cost to all eligible persons as on SECC data -2011. Gas connection, gas stove and cylinder will be provided to all persons who having enrolled in the SECC date -2011.
According to information all eligible persons will have to submit an application with in KYC format and also to be submitted is adharcard Xerox copies of female head of the house, two passport copiesalong with photograph.
Before the launching the scheme here on the district, Bokaro DC Rai Mahipat Ray described PMUY as revolutionary step ,which is to be implemented in a transparent manner across the district .The scheme was conceived by the Prime minister of India as a step towards women belonging to poor households .Budgetary allocation has been made to provide poor women relief from smoke ,drudgery and disease.
