On the occasion of International Women's Day, a grand programme was organized at the Human Resource Development Center of Bokaro Steel Plant on 6th March. A large number of women employees of the plant participated in the programme. Amarendu Prakash, Director In-charge of BSL was the chief guest at the function. CEO (BPSCL) KK Thakur, ED (Works) BK Tiwari, ED (Projects) CR Mohapatra, ED (Finance & Accounts) S Rangani, ED (Materials Management) Amitabh Srivastava, ED (Mines) J Das Gupta, ED (Personnel & Administration) Rajan Prasad along with TA Chief B.S Popli attended the function. Also President of Women's Committee Bokaro Anita Tiwari, Chief General Managers, other senior officers, Vice President and members of Women's Committee and women of Bokaro Steel Employees were present in large numbers enthusiastically.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and special guests. Chief General Manager (Projects) Anima Kushwaha welcomed everyone. Addressing the women employees of BSL, Chief Guest DIC Amarendu Prakash congratulated them on International Women's Day. He further said that development cannot be envisaged without the progress and participation of women. The chief guest also appreciated the contribution of women employees in the progress of Bokaro Steel Plant and said that women have immense potential and they can take BSL to the pinnacle of excellence with their spirit of innovation and dedication towards work. Notably a total of thirty women employees of BSL were honored for their remarkable contribution during the function. The main attraction of the function was the cultural performances by women employees of BSL, members of Mahila Samiti and BGH. Under this, apart from the presentation of group dance by women trainees, women's committee team, women doctors and nursing staff of BGH and other women personnel, group songs, short drama etc. enthralled the audience.
Programmes were also organized in the security department of BSL on the occasion of International Women's Day. In the Security Department, Chief General Manager (Security) Manoj Kumar congratulated the women personnel on International Women's Day. Shailesh Kumar Srivastawa (Sr Mngr Security) extended his best wishes.
