The Sports and Civic Amenities department of BSl has been constantly endeavouring to provide quality infrastructure and facilities to the sports enthusiasts of the city.
This being the Golden Jubilee year of the steel behemoth, a step forward was taken in this direction with the inauguration of the Roller Skating Arena in the Sports Complex on June 29 by BSl CEO Anutosh Maitra. The 85 ft x 44 ft arena with a polyurethane paint coated top, offers excellent skating surface to the skaters. The arena will be open from 6- 9 AM in the forenoon and 3-8 PM in the afternoon where all skating enthusiasts can avail the facilities.
An instructor will also be available in the afternoon session, as of now, to guide freshers and others willing to hone their skills. On the occasion of the inauguration of the arena, a demonstration on skating was also presented by school children.
