Three active cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Bokaro district, including one fresh case on Friday. According to the official statement released by the administration around 19,427 people were reported positive for the Sars-Cov-2 virus and so far the total numbers of deaths are 286 in the district.
Civil Surgeon Bokaro, Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh informed that till now a total of 8,53,689 people have been vaccinated in the district, including 6,48,487 first while 2,05,202 have been administered their second dose.
Appeals are being made to the residents by conducting an awareness campaign across the district. He urged, there is no need to be afraid of the Covid-19 vaccine, and must get vaccinated during their turn.
“These vaccines are completely safe; everyone should get vaccinated without any hesitation,” he added.
“Stay away from rumours and follow the guidelines issued by the state government. Please support the administration, obey the SOP to free the
district from COVID-19,” Singh reiterated.
