The operation, which was conducted under the leadership of the IG Bokaro Zone Michael Rajesh, and directed by the Superintendent of Police Pujya Prakash, Bokaro, involved coordinated efforts from all police stations in the district.
The intensive long-arm campaign, named Kochkor, was executed from 10:00 PM on August 4, 2024, to 7:00 AM on August 5, 2024. The campaign aimed to target and mitigate various criminal activities across the district.
Station in-charges and unit officers were instructed to carry out extensive search operations, raids, and arrests of habitual offenders, absconders, and suspects. Efforts were intensified on previously unsolved cases, with specific focus placed on narcotics-related activities to curb such offenses.
Throughout the campaign, several police stations successfully executed non-bailable warrants, made significant arrests, and conducted night patrols to ensure sustained vigilance. The Bokaro police have reaffirmed their commitment to fighting criminal activities through continuous 24/7 surveillance and decisive action.
