Gomia police led by officer-in charge B Ram on Monday arrested one Dal- Chand Mahto a village head of Barki-Sidwara village under the same police station of the district.
Mahto, a resident of Barki-Sidwara under the Gomia police station was involved in extortion and threatening the people, besides carrying out the organisational work of the outfit. He was arrested under the charges of 17 Cl, 413, 414, and 120 of IPC, which had been lodged in Gomia police station in the year 2003.
Mahto under distension has given vital information regarding the working of the outlawed organisation. He added that police said the mukhiya had been accused in two cases registered at Gomia police station.
However, senior officers were tightlipped and limited their comments, they claimed that Mahto was arrested for his criminal background.
