Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan has written to the State Health Minister, Chief Secretary of the Government, Health Secretary as well as to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Arun Singh to start the RTPCR lab in Bokaro for relief and prevention from the global epidemic Covid-19. The Health Secretary assured to take necessary action at the earliest on the same concern. It is to be known that the third wave of Corona in Bokaro is taking a very concerning form. People are getting affected by this and due to non-availability of RTPCR test facility, the sample has to be sent to Dhanbad for testing. However, already there is a long queue of RTPCR test in Dhanbad, due to which the report is taking 8-10 days to come which in itself is a matter of concern.
There is a TRUENAT machine installed in the Sadar Hospital Bokaro but it is lying idle due to non-availability of adequate kits. In view of the interest of the people of Bokaro since last 2 years, the legislator has been continuously contacting the department to set up RTPCR lab but every time only assurance is given by the department. Bokaro MLA said that a question was also raised in this regard in the Jharkhand assembly on 22.09.2020 but it is very unfortunate that the government or the department yet not taken any steps. The Legislator further said that if corona is to be controlled, then it can be stopped only by conducting maximum tests consequently RTPCR lab is very important setup to start as early as possible for the prevention and control of COVID in district which is still in controlled phase but demand of present time is only faster execution to avoid any adverse situation in Future.
