Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan along with BJP District President Bharat Yadav met Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia at New Delhi in order to request the start of Bokaro airport on immediate basis and complete the remaining work including providing provisioning of night landing facility without further delay. During the meeting Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, after listening to the whole matter seriously assured to take all necessary action at the earliest to ensure Bokaro airport operational with all basic facilities.
It is to be known that under one of the ambitious plans of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the construction work of the airport in Bokaro Steel city started but due to the slow pace of the construction work, the flight service could not started on time. However Legislator have been meeting the concerned departmental officers from time to time to expedite airport construction work but the speed was never satisfactory & hence this meeting with aviation minister will definitely boost the execution of construction work including night landing arrangements as crucial being Bokaro an industrial area with North Chotanagpur Division insurgency affected. The Union Aviation Minister after reviewing all matters with MLA has assured to take necessary action at the earliest to get the Airport operational with night landing facility and other basic infrastructural amenities.
