Bokaro district administration is all set to go for a peaceful and fearless poll with record turn-out of voters in Bokaro, Bermo, Chandankiyari and in Gomia Assembly constituencies scheduled to be held on December 9 and 14.
“We are ready to conduct elections in safe and peaceful environment”, said Uma Shankar Singh, Deputy Commissioner Bokaro. “We are also ready from the security point of view. Unprecedented security personnel comprising CRPF, BSF, Jharkhand police personnel, Magistrates, Micro observers would be deployed to conduct peaceful poll, he added.
On the directive of CEC, Single Windom System has been implemented to grant permission to the political parties for election campaign. Manoj Kumar Rai SDO Bermo is the Nodal Officer of Permission Cell for Gomia assembly constituency (34), Rajat Manik Bakhala DSP CCR is the Nodal Officer for Bermo, Sahadeo Saw DSP Bokaro is for Bokaro Assembly constituency and Manish Toppo is the Nodal Officer for Permission Cell for Chandankiyari assembly constituency, Singh informed.
“These Nodal officers are powered to grant all such permissions related to the election campaign to the political parties in their assembly constituency except the permission for landing of Choppers”, said DC adding “for any kind of permission political parties should submit a request along with an expenditure statement in Annexure-16”.
There are 12,47,820 voters in four assembly constituency includes Gomia (253663), Bermo (285723), Bokaro (491632) and Chandankiyari (216802) and they will cast their rights on 1340 polling booths.
Notably, more than 70 per cent of the booths in these constituencies have been placed in the super-sensitive and hyper-sensitive categories. People residing in the remote part are living in the dearth of several basic amenities. Drinking water, health, electricity, road connectivity, education, employment including others is the major issues found across the constituencies.
