Bokaro district administration is all set to go for peaceful and fair Municipal Corporation polls for Chas and Phusro, scheduled to be held on 26 May. “We are ready to conduct elections in safe and peaceful environment. We are also ready from the security point of view. Unprecedented security personnel would be deployed to conduct peaceful poll,” said Manoj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Bokaro.
There are 1,24,350 voters including 67,959 male and 56,391 female of all 35 wards of Chas Municipal Corporation will cast their rights on EVM machine at 112 polling booths in Chas. While, 1,805 voters of Phusro Nagar Parishad will cast their votes on 2 polling booths at Phusro. At least 40 booths in these areas have been placed in the sensitive categories which will be covered with adequate security arrangements, said SP Bokaro.
