After successful polling in Bermo Assembly bye-election 2020, the District Election Officer-cum- Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Singh and Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Jha jointly gave information on various points to the media persons.
District Election Officer, Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Singh said that the Bermo by-election was peaceful and all the guidelines under COVID-19 were also followed during poll time here on Tuesday.
Giving provisional figures, District Election Officer-cum- Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Singh said that polling had more than 60.20 per cent till 04:00 pm and no untoward incident happened during the bye-election in Bermo.
He said that voters openly exercised their vote on Tuesday. On successful completion of the voting, the DEO thanked the deputed magistrates, police officers, police forces, JAP personnel, Para Military Forces, polling personnel and all the officials and personnel involved in the election work.
Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Jha also thanked the security personnel for the tight security arrangements in Bermo Assembly constituency and voters for following all the guidelines under the COVID-19. During the press conference, Additional Collector Vijay Kumar Gupta, District Public Relations Officer Rahul Kumar Bharti and representatives of various print and electronic media and all members of the team PRD were present.
