In Pandit Ji Road of Hazaribagh, which is in the midst of the town, body of a young girl (16-18) has been found from the open septic tank of an under construction building. After getting information, police took out the body which was naked and burnt to some extent. Police is now trying to identify the girl. Due to the election, construction work was stopped since last 2-3 days, the work resumed only after masons and workers came on Saturady. At about 11:30 am, a worker saw a dead body in the open septic tank and informed the police, said the site in-charge of the construction work.
Prima facie it looks as a rape and murder case. The clothes of that girl were near the tank. The position of body was indicating that first her throat was pressed badly and then the miscreants tried to burn her inside the tank, because smell of kerosene oil was coming out of it. There was water in the tank so the body failed to burn completely. Police has registered the case and now investigation is going on.
