On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, a camp for blood donation and certificate distribution was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society on the premises of Sadar Hospital on Thursday.
The chief guest of the programme was the president of the society-cum-DC, Paramjeet Kaur, and the special guest was the honorary vice president of the society-cum-SDO Akhouri Shashank Sinha. Besides, AC BN Choubey, Civil Surgeon Dr Murli Manohar Sen Gupta and land acquisition officer Ravi Shankar Vidyarthi were also present.On the occasion, the philanthropic work of blood donation was carried out by AC Bawdry Nath Choubey, Prof Shashi Gupta, Kamal kant Maurya, Kajal Sinha, Desraj Goyal, Rahul Kumar, Alok Kumar, Vinay Kumar Dubey, Abu Sufian, Amod Akela, Sanjit lakra, Brajesh Kumar Yadav, Anil Kumar, Gautam Babu and Pradeep Vishwakarma.
After that the certificate distribution programme and review meet was held.DC appreciated the innovative work of the society and assured to provide the land as soon as possible. She said that in want of blood many have to loss the life and so the blood donation is really an appreciable humanitarian effort.AC BN Choubey said, “After donating the blood, I am feeling proud. We have donated the blood for the human services.” Civil Surgeon Dr. Murli Manohar Sen Gupta furnished the achievement of the blood bank premises and the employees. DC assured to fulfill the demands.
The highest blood donors of the year Jagat Pal Keshri and Achyt Keshri, who were given memorandum and the trainees of first aid and home nursing were also provided certificates.The programme was also addressed by the chairman of the society Dr. Pramod Kumar Pujari, vice chairman Sitar Am Sharma, Prof Sneh Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Jagat Pal Keshri.The programme in-charge Arun Kumar delivered the welcome speech and furnished the detailed information of the society.
The programme was directed by Alok Kumar whereas the token of thanks was given by Kishor Kumar Verma.
