In an endeavour to create awareness on the need for safe blood donation and encourage its students to donate blood, a blood donation camp was organised by Hill Top School in collaboration with the Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA) and the Jamshedpur Blood Bank on Wednesday.
It was inaugurated by the presiding doctor, Rita Singh, principal Puneeta B Chouhan and the president of the Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Sunil Kr. Mukherjee. A total of 37 units of blood were collected. The medical checks was overseen by Dr. Rita Singh and Neeraj Kumar assisted by students.
Principal Puneeta B Chouhan emphasised on the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraged the staff and schools to actively contribute to creating a bank of safe blood.
