District Collector Sanjay Goyal has said that a departmental enquiry would be initiated against those Block Education Officers and Block coordinators where school teachers are found to be regularly absent and thus schools are not running regularly.
He stated that the District Education Officer and District Education Centres coordinators will be answerable. Goyal was addressing School Education Department officers in an inter-departmental coordinator meeting.
In the Collectorate office, Gwalior Collector has said that during his visit to Ghantigaon Development block he has found the teachers were absent in village Jakhoda and in other places also. He has taken strong action against the teachers and considered the School Education department and Block officers responsible.
In the Ghantigaon Development Block village Kalekha Gwalior Collector has observed that the quality of food for the children in the midday meal was not good and the arrangements of food were also not good and he has instructed to dismiss the responsible people.
He has also inspected the girls’ hostel and expressed his deep concern to make the arrangements proper. He further said that the departmental budget should be used properly in keeping view of the other plans.
In the meeting, Municipal Commissioner Anay Dwivedi, District Panchayat officer Neeraj Kumar Singh along with other departmental officers were present.
Gwalior Collector said that at the district level officer whoever is responsible for his carelessness, would be called for explanation and if the government official work gets suffered then strong action will be taken.
