How effective the rally of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi at Panki would be is a question that only time could answer but for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) the rally has been a ‘flop-show’ with thin presence of people for the Gandhi scion.
The Congress’ VP addressed a rally at Panki on Saturday as part of the party’s election campaign in Jharkhand.“People have disavowed them as nobody came. It was a complete flop-show,” said Union Minister Ramkripal Yadav.
The observation was made on Saturday after Yadav and Bihar BJP leader, Giriraj Singh had visited Panki and Chatra to campaign for the party candidates. Both the leaders attributed policies followed by the Congress in last 10 years for the ‘flop-show’ of the second most powerful man in the party. The campaigners also attacked the state government for its failure in meeting the aspirations of the people of Jharkhand since inception.
“Congress has robbed the treasury of the country in last 10 years. Even the 18-month-old Government of Hemant Soren which is supported by Congress and Rashtriya Janta Dal has taken the state to abyss of uncertainty,” maintained Yadav.
BJP’s national vice-president Raghubar Das endorsed the first hand experience of both the campaigners of the party and added that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress will be completely wiped out in the Assembly elections.
“People of Jharkhand have expressed their inclination even before the first phase of elections. A BJP Government will be formed with full majority in the Assembly whereas Congress will be forced to trace its vestiges after the election,” asserted Das in a press communiqué.
Incidentally, the saffron brigade rallied behind the apple of the party’s eyes—Prime Minister Narendra Modi—against the Gandhi scion’s attack on massive nationwide cleanliness drive launched to get rid of garbage and filth through community participation. Rahul Gandhi had mocked Modi’s campaign while addressing a rally at Panki.
“Congress has gone berserk after the crushing defeat in lok Sabha elections and that is why their leaders are making these types of statements. When entire world is praising Modi’s cleanliness drive Rahul Gandhi is issuing puerile statements,” added Das.
