National Convener of BJP's Business Cell Shayam Bihari Mishra, during a seminar - 'Vyapari Sankalp Sammelan' and working Committee meeting in Ranchi, has appealed to the business communities to contribute whole heartedly so that the party can get more than the seats required for absolute majority in the coming Assembly elections in the state. The businessmen were also made to take a pledge that they will put all their efforts for the BJP to achieve clear and thumping majority at the Jharkhand Assembly.
"BJP is the only political party in the country which admits that it is a party of businessmen which has also some contribution in achieving clear majority at the centre. Others parties have only termed us as hoarders and profit makers," said Mishra. He also made the businessmen present in the programme to take a pledge that they would vote only for the BJP and ensure votes of their family members, friends, relatives and neighbours to the party.
"It is definite that we are going to win but only 42 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly will not do. We should try for at least 3/4th of total seats so that the BJP can take decisions in the public interest without getting influenced by the other political parties," added Mishra.
Mishra also expressed hope that the BJP government at the Centre should now provide social security and fix some pension for the old age businessmen as have been done in case of MlAs and MPs. Former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha even went ahead and suggested that if BJP fails in achieving a clear majority in the Assembly, it should refrain from joining any coalition Government in the interest of the people of this state. "If business will be safe, the businessmen will progress and industry will develop in the State resulting into the overall development of the State," Sinha said.
Addressing the gathering of businessmen, former Deputy Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the development could not be brought in only on the basis of royalty. "We also need to produce some value added products in the field of steel and auto industry etc. I promise to you all that Marketing Board will be dissolved within 100 days from the formation of BJP government in the state," Das said.
The leader also appealed to contribute in the bringing new dawn in the State by bringing in a majority government in Jharkhand like is had been done at the national level. Das said that the present JMM led Hemant Soren coalition Government had been rejected by the people of the state. President of Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries Bikash Singh also stressed that the Marketing Board must be dissolved as the farmers were not getting anything out of it. "We do not anything from the Government. We only want that proper respect must be given to us with a
liberty to do our business without any intervention. Dreams to develop the State will automatically be fulfilled," said Singh. Singh also appealed to the senior party leaders that the people of business community must be given chance to come forward in the field of politics and given more tickets so that proper representation of business class could be done in Parliament.
The Cell, during the seminar, also felicitated renowned businessman and Managing Director of The Pioneer Pawan Bajaj along with transporter Vidyadhar Sharma for their contributions in their respective fields. Sharma also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for identifying BJP with the business community.
