Opposition leader and former Chief Minister Arjun Munda on Friday said that the BJP is ready to welcome leaders from other political parties on principles but not on any condition. He was answering queries from the media over possibilities of Babulal Marandi merging his party with the saffron brigade in Jamshedpur.

Talking to the newsmen at the local circuit house, Munda without naming JVM chief Babulal Marandi, said that the party was ready to welcome any leader who is keen to join but there should not be any condition. Munda said that a section of JVM is still willing to merge with the BJP and he thinks the party must merge into BJP for greater benefit of the State.

It may be mentioned here that Jharkhand Vikash Morcha ( JVM ) senior leader Dulal Bhuiyan joined the BJP at a function in Ranchi on August 10. Four JVM leaders Bokaro MlA Samresh Singh, Simaria’s Jai Prakash Singh Bhokta, Jamua’s Chandrika Mahtha and Giridih’s Nirbhaya Kumar Shatabdi also joined BJP recently. Meanwhile, the two-time MP from Mayurbanjh, Odisha and the president of Jharkhand Disom Party (JDP), Salkhan Murmu merged his outfit tribal outfit into the BJP and joined the saffron party.

Munda was addressing the media after presiding the meeting of Manifesto Committe meeting of the party. He said that the party will contest elections on issues that are related with the common masses. “Each and every worker of the party should participate in door to door campaign and spread message in every nook and corner of the area. Some party activists have the flaw of identifying the party supporters and voters before hand and they act according to that. I think that rather classifying people we should touch every voter despite his or her background. This will help us to cover a large area and results will be fruitful,” said Munda.

Senior leader Saryu Roy said that people are annoyed with State reigime and want a change and what better way to bring change in the ensuing Assembly elections.
