The State BJP leaders and workers on Wednesday staged dharna at all block headquarters against ‘government failures’ to fulfill its election promises. The dharna was staged in all 264 block headquarters. State BJP president Deepak Prakash along with his supporters staged the dharna at Ratu block, while State BJP general secretary Aditya Sahu staged the dharna at Angada block, State BJP general secretary Pradeep Verma at Nagri block.
The dharna was against ‘government failure’ to conduct panchyats elections, auctioning of sand mines, poor law and order situation, especially women safety of tribal women and girls, corruption at administrative machinery especially at block level, failure of government to start paddy procurement among others.
Staging the dharna at Ratu block, State BJP president Deepak Prakash said that the Hemant Soren Government has failed on all fronts. The grand alliance comprising JMM and Congress in its election manifesto last year has made tall promises such as waiving farm loan upto Rs 2 lakh to farmers.
