BJP tried to make a mockery of judiciary through conspiracy: CM

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed his disappointment today over Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's continued imprisonment. Soren remarked that the recent general elections were marred by significant drama, accusing the BJP of attempting to undermine the judiciary through conspiracies.

During his visit to Delhi on Saturday, Soren met with former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He addressed the media on various issues, including the observance of Samvidhan Hatya Diwas.

Soren explained that he visited Sonia Gandhi now that the Lok Sabha elections had concluded and he had been released from jail. "With the Jharkhand Assembly elections approaching in a few months, we thought it was an appropriate time to meet. That’s why I came to Delhi," he said.

Soren was accompanied by his wife, Kalpana Murmu Soren, who is also an MLA in the Jharkhand Assembly. He noted that no detailed discussions about the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections took place during his meeting with Sonia Gandhi, but mentioned that they would address the topic in a more formal setting soon.

Regarding the Central Government's decision to designate June 25 as Samvidhan Hatya Diwas, Soren criticized the BJP, stating, "Only they know what they are doing and saying. The people of this country are not easily swayed by money. The beauty of our democracy is that our people are highly aware and sensitive. They have a high tolerance level, but they show their true strength when it comes to their rights. The BJP needs to understand this."

Commenting on the interim bail granted to Kejriwal, Soren said, "Everyone is aware of the drama in the past few days. The BJP has tried to undermine the judiciary through conspiracies. Although Kejriwal was granted interim bail, it’s unfortunate that he remains in jail."

"I am hopeful that he will be released soon," Soren added.

Notably, Arvind Kejriwal has got interim bail from the Supreme Court in the alleged liquor scam case. The court has given him this bail under the right to live. However, he will not be able to come out of jail because the CBI has arrested him in another case. The CBI says that they have strong evidence of Kejriwal taking bribes.
