State BJP in association with BJP Kisan Morcha, will hold district level meetings and prepare a report over the ground realities of farmers in the State. On the basis of the report prepare by them, a discussion related to the assessment of the present condition farmers will be done at the State level, demanding the State Government to take proper steps in this regard.
State BJP President Ravindra Rai while talking to the media persons at the BJP headquarters on Wednesday, also promised to extend all support to farmers by ensuring them all benefits of the Government-run programmes and schemes.
“According to the media reports, farmers in the State are struggling hard to sustain themselves in the death of monsoon. It was decided that the party under the leadership of BJP Kisan Morcha, will play a pro-active role to address the problems faced by the farmers in this hour of need,” said State BJP President Ravindra Rai.
A meeting of State BJP leaders and BJP Kisan Morcha was held at the party headquarters on Wednesday where a decision was taken to provide them all support to the farmers by connecting with them.
“The party, not relying on the figures provided by the Government machineries, will itself verify the condition of paddy crop in the State. District level meetings across the State will be held with members of Kisan Morcha on October 10 to be assisted by the district presidents following which a report will also be submitted over the ground reality in the State,” added Rai.
On the basis of the report, the BJP workers will try to contact the Government officials and take stock of their programmes and plans to address the problems of farmers.
later, on October 14, a State level meeting will be called in Ranci where a discussion related to the present situation of farmers will take place and a demand to take proper steps in this regard will be raised before the Government after proper assessment of the situation, said Rai.
