State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Sunday attacked the State Government saying that constitutional machinery has collapsed in State. The government is running from jail. The jailed power brokers are conspiring against ED officials. State media co-in-charge Tariq Imran and State Kisan Morcha president Pawan Sahu were also present in the press conference.
Pratul said that such reports are continuously coming in the media that there is a conspiracy to take the help of Naxalites and gangsters to harm the ED officials who are investigating against the jailed brokers operating at the top of power. Pratul said that this is a very disturbing and worrying incident.
Pratul said that it is also being alleged that an attempt is being made through a woman to harass ED officials by filing a fake case against them, even then JMM government has a long record of implicating people in fake cases.
Pratul said that the jail authorities have been seriously accused of suppressing the letters written by the prisoners complaining against the brokers. This should also be brought under the ambit of investigation. There should be a CBI investigation into the allegations of ED officers targeting Naxalites, gangsters and women.
Dozens of letters should have been written to the state government between 18-11-2022 to 26-9-2023 to take action against the officer found guilty during the investigation of corruption worth thousands of crores by ED. But why is the state government still sitting idle? This appears to be a clear case of protecting the accused.
Pratul said that BJP demands that state government should recommend a CBI investigation into this entire matter. Pratul said that by not providing security to the central agencies in the state, the top power brokers are trying to create an atmosphere of fear which is condemnable.
Pratul said that such information is also coming that on one hand the state government is making the common citizens play a band outside, on the other hand in the jail, the criminals are getting the band playing on their birthday. Pratul said that this is a complete violation of the constitutional machinery. It is a sign of collapse. The state government should recommend a CBI investigation immediately.
