BJP in Daltonganj today staged a robust protest against the dismal availability of drinking water, electricity along with the persistent crisis of sand and rampant corruption.
The BJP rally was organised by its district president Amit Tiwary. He showed his political strategy very well.
The rally had 3 BJP MLAs namely Alok Chourasia, Dr Shashibhushan Mehta and Pushpa Devi. The rally had senior state BJP leader Manoj Singh besides other local faces.
It showed that the BJP wanted this rally to be a serious one and not just a walk in the street in the Sun.
Earlier the Congress had staged a rally demanding better supply of electricity which is related to the drinking water supply. The Congress rally was impressive.
Today the BJP came out on the street with political vigour. The Panki BJP MLA Dr Shashibhushan Mehta was in deep saffron from turban to wearing while others of his party were in normal wearing, a few in black just for the day being a Saturday.
Young brigade of the BJP like BJYM and its leader Jyoti Pandey was there in the rally.
The veteran BJP MLA Ramchander Chandravanshi could not come to the rally because of his being indisposed due to heatwave. He was represented by his son.
Women leaders of the BJP too spoke fiercely in the rally.
The rally culminated at the main gate to the Palamu collectorate.
Earlier it was said that two MP elects Vishnu Dayal Ram and Kalicharan Singh would be in the rally but they were not.
