BJP stages protest over ‘poor’ management at RIMS

In protest against mismanagement of Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) state biggest health hub, Bharatiya Janata Party Ranchi Mahanagar district organized a day-long dharna in front of the RIMS administrative building. Ranchi MLA CP Singh addressing the dharna said that the condition of the state's biggest health hub is very poor as there is acute shortage of medicines and other medical equipment. The present RIMS director should be removed from his post for his failure to improve the condition of the health hub. Singh said that RIMS is now unable to treat patients as RIMS itself is ill for the last three years.

Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Prasad Sahu, who was present on the occasion, said that State Government proved to be a government only in making false announcements by misleading the people of the state, because an important medical institution like RIMS, where the government should invest and improve it, the government was involved in looting mineral sandstone.

While presiding over the dharna, the BJP Mahanagar president KK Gupta said that most of the poor people come to RIMS for treatment, but instead of worrying about the good treatment of these poor, the government has made the condition of RIMS worse. Hundreds of needy patients are treated on the ground due to lack of beds, where neither doctors, nor nurses, nor any modern means of treatment are available. Health Minister Banna Gupta is not worried about this, he is busy in buying commission for medicines and testing equipment.

Samri Lal said that Banna Gupta had time to join the Bharat Jodo Yatra started by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi but had no time to improve the affairs of the state's biggest medical hospital. Due to Gupta not giving time, a regular meeting of the RIMS Governing Council, which was to be held for three months, was postponed.

Subodh Singh Guddu, Pradeep Sinha, Surendra Mahato, Hemant Das, Seema Sharma, Munchun Rai, Mrityunjay Sharma, Maya Singh Sisodia, etc. leaders also addressed the protest meeting. The strike was presided over by K. K. Gupta, operated by Balram Singh and vote of thanks was done by Rajkishore Mahato. Mainly Amardeep Yadav, Aarti Kujur, Ramesh Singh, Mukesh, Jitendra Singh Patel, Neeraj Singh, Romit Singh, Gopal Soni, Lal Pramod Nath Shahdev, Johnny Walker Khan, Suvesh Pandey, Omprakash Pandey, Binod Mahato, Deepak Shah, Subhash Aggarwal, Surya Pratap Singh, Anand Verma, Santosh Mishra, Umesh Yadav, Indrajit Yadav, Devraj Singh, Manjulata Dubey, Veena Mishra, etc. were present.
