BJP slams PCC chief for tribal remark

State BJP spokesperson Pratull Sahadeo rapped PCC chief Ajoy Kumar for his statement in which he had held the ruling party responsible for lowering tribal population in the State along with for their poor economic and educational conditions.

Addressing a Press conference on Saturday Sahadeo said that if the number of tribals have at all gone down in Jharkhand the Congress is responsible for that.

“The Congress has ruled the country for 60 years and did nothing for employment and other development of tribals which led to their migration and under development. After coming to power the Raghubar Das Government constituted a TAC sub-committee headed by Minister Neelkant Singh Munda to study the reasons behind and also to suggest ways to overcome the problems. The Congress after damaging the community the most is now indulging into drama and shading crocodile tears,” said the spokesperson.

He also took on Ajoy Kumar while referring to his Karnataka connection. “Ajoy Kumar does not know anything about tribal. I challenge him to name 10 tribal groups without doing Google! His party has since independence used tribal just as vote bank whereas it was the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government that had formed a separate Ministry for tribal affairs and constituted three tribal dominated States,” said Sahadeo while lauding the steps taken by the State Government for wellbeing of tribal dominated villages.

Also present on the occasion was Deendayal Barnwal who questioned Congress for ‘the Koda scam’ and sought apology for the massive loot of State’s resources. “The party is just out for doing politics in the name of tribals. They should talk about Koda loot kand involving over Rs 3800 crore at the cost of mineral rich Jharkhand and its people first then raise finger at the BJP. Anyway people of the State understand well the tactics of the Congress,” said the media in-charge of the party.

He along with Ashok Badaik of the BJP’s tribal wing praised the State Government for renaming several institutes and places after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and installing his statues at several parts of the State.
