The State BJP today attacked State Congress for taking help of Christian missionaries in Congress president Rahul Gandhi rally in State Capital. State BJP spokesperson, Pratul Shahdeo lashing out at State Congress said that State BJP had apprehension that some religious leaders from a particular community were mobilizing tribal population in Khunti, Simdega, Gumla and Lohardaga districts for their participation in Rahul Gandhi rally in Ranchi.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on last Saturday had participated at Parivartan Ulgulan Maha rally at the Morhabadi ground, which was attended by leaders of grand alliance constituents. Shahdeo said, “The BJP fear and apprehension gained substance on the rally day as large number of students from Ursuline Convent +2 School, Ranchi in school uniform reached the rally venue. “ Shahdeo further said that he had come to know from school principal Sister Marry Grace, that students were invited at the rally venue on the invitation of a Christian religious head. Shahdeo claimed that bringing students to rally is unfortunate.
He said, “As per the government schemes students at these Christian Missionaries institution gets benefits of various government schemes. The school buses plying for these minorities educational institutions get tax rebate. Also these institutions get grant for their academic activities, it is very unfortunate that while on one hand such institutions avail government benefits, but on behest of some religious leader students of such institutions are working for some political parties.”
The BJP spokesperson claimed that despite various tactics employed by State Congress leadership they failed in making the rally a success as hardly 10,000 to 12,000 people attended the rally.
