Reacting over BJP national president Amit Shah’s remark about the Congress having no internal democracy in the party, Congress national spokesperson Ajay Kumar on Saturday said in spite of counting the achievements of their Government, he should have visited the places where innocent people were killed and debt ridden farmers committed suicides in the State.
Talking to mediapersons at party office here, Kumar also put 10 questions before the Government against the claims made that Jharkhand was developing.
He said the BJP was in a habit of lying to the people of the country, which was quite evident recently when the BJP took a u-turn on the issue of Shah staying at State Guest House and announced that it was already decided that he would be staying at BJP headquarters in Ranchi.
“As soon as we revealed State Guest House renovation scam, a Press conference was held denying that it was already in schedule of Amit Shah to stay at BHP headquarters. But a letter issued from the BJP office for State Government clearly indicates that Shah was to make three-day stay at the State Guest House,” said Kumar. It is a clear cut example of how they lie before the people, he added.
Kumar also raised questions over the bureaucrats taking a pledge during a party programme during Garib Kalyan Mela on Saturday in Ranchi. “If Shah cares so much for the poor, they he would have been visited the places where innocent people were lynched and where the poor debt ridden farmers committed suicide after being pressurized by the bank officials to clear their dues or to the hospitals where large number of newborn children die due malnutrition,” said Kumar. Congress President Sukhdeo Bhagat also said that Das was running a circus, not a Government where the remuneration for Para Teachers in State is Rs 5000, while supervisors in government owned liquor shops are getting Rs 30,000,” said Bhagat.
The State Government also does not care for the constitutional organization as no action has been taken so far against the direction given by the Election Commission of India, he added.
