Reports from all districts related to ongoing booth and mandal-level organisational elections were reviewed during a meeting convened at State BJP headquarters in Ranchi on Sunday. According to the party spokesperson, a decision was taken to speed up the process in those districts where the process was still lagging behind.

“Booth and Mandal level elections have almost been completed in most of the districts following which district level elections will be conducted very soon,” said Mittal.

He added that a thorough review of the organisational elections going across the State was done during the meeting and a decision was taken to speed up the elections process in the districts where it was still lagging behind.

Incidentally, the organisational election being conducted in 13 Mandals of Ranchi is getting controversial as in most of the parts people are being elected without any consultation or consensus of the party workers. Internal dispute related to the election was also witnessed at many places.

The workers alleged that some of the senior leaders are showing keen interest in booth and mandal level elections, who are trying to impose their own candidates on the chair. Despite party’s instructions to make appointments with the consensus of each other, mandal Presidents are being elected through secret ballots, escalating the dispute among the workers.

Party workers have also made some serious allegations on some of the senior leaders of taking the side of their near and dear ones.

Meanwhile, Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha has congratulated its State Vice President Arvinder Sigh Khurana alias Bobby Khurana for being appointed as State level member for Prime Minister’s 15 Point Working Committee. Khurana, reacting on his appointment, said that he will try to deliver positively to the responsibilities given to him and will try to bring schemes and programmes run for the minorities up to the grass-root level.
