BJP reminds UPA of its transfer-posting record

A day after main Opposition parties Congress and JMM pulled up the State Government for transfers and postings done in recent times the BJP recalled days under previous dispensations in Jharkhand.

Addressing a press conference on Monday State BJP spokesperson Pratull Sahadeo said that the UPA had broken all records on this front. “Still the UPA under the Congress and JMM holds the record of doing transfer and posting in a single day! Highest, 204, number of the class-I and class-II officials were transferred in 2014. There are several examples of that time when senior IAS officials were sent at two different places in a day. Rajiv Varun Ekka and Mrudula Sinha were transferred twice in one day. Rahul Sharma had to bear two transfers in two days,” said Sahadeo.

He added further that during the chief ministership of Hemant Soren officials were moved like musical chair and compared it with the present dispensation. “Chief Minister Raghubar Das put a blanket ban on transfers during December which used to affect budget implementation. At present only transfers are taking place only in the month of July otherwise in the case of extreme exception with due permission of the Chief Minister,” said he.

Sahadeo also criticised the Opposition, mainly Congress for questioning the Chief Minister’s China visit. “Those who are putting question mark over the tour had handed over large part of Indian territory to China in 1962. A big leader of the Congress party had referred the lost territory as barren whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in improving relations with neighbours without compromising with pride.

For the first time our forces pushed back Chinese forces at Dokalam,” said Sahadeo.

Coming to coalition politics he said that the party believed taking its partners along while terming the understanding with the JD-U limited to Bihar only and senior leadership of both the parties would take a call on strengthening it in Jharkhand as well. Deendayal Barnwal and Shivpujan Pathak were also present on the occasion.
