The BJP members on Tuesday protested against the State government through the Halla Bol program in all the blocks of the state on issues such as corruption, farmers' dues, employment, PESA law, language dispute, local policy and planning policy.
In the Gawa block of Giridih district, BJP workers protested against the government under the leadership of Leader of Opposition cum State President Babulal Marandi. In the capital, BJP workers under the leadership of Ranchi MLA CP Singh staged a protest against the anti-people policy of the government.
Staging the protest MLA CP Singh said that today the people of the state are troubled and the government is happy. The MLA said that the trust with which the public had worked to bring this government back has been broken. He said that incidents of murder, robbery, rape and snatching are becoming common in the entire state. The police administration is proving to be completely unsuccessful in catching them. In such a situation, the public cannot remain silent spectators and the Bharatiya Janata Party is agitating against it.
MLA CP Singh said that corruption is the biggest issue today. The MLA said that power-protected corruption is happening in every office. Go to any office today, work is not being done without a bribe and in many places work is not being done even after giving the bribe amount. That is why BJP has considered each zonal office as a center and organized a program of dharna demonstration and siege there.
Taking a dig at the BJP's Halla Bol program, Congress has said that the party which has no organization in the entire state is protesting at the district and block offices, this is ridiculous. The party's state spokesperson Kamal Thakur said that the BJP, disturbed and furious by the defeat, should first raise a hue and cry in the organization, and then come out against the government.
The state spokesperson said that on what issue is the BJP agitating? How will a party which is issueless and has no leader protest? He said that the people of Jharkhand have rejected all the issues raised by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Whether it is the issue of women or youth or corruption, they have been disappointed in all. The Congress spokesperson said that BJP has no right to speak on the issue of corruption. Those who do business by taking donations are not worthy of speaking.
A large number of women participated in the Aakrosh rally led by former Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri in Chandankyari, Bokaro. Amar Bauri took the state government to task and made many serious allegations. He also warned through a demand letter. He said that if the problems are not resolved soon, then next time the people will run the government by sitting inside the block.
