BJP mocks at PC for speaking on economy

The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday mocked at former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who spent more than hundred days in Tihar jail being accused of economic scam; however he is teaching lesson on poor economic condition of the country.

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said Chidambaram came out of jail and reached Ranchi straight and touted a long lesson on Indian economy.

“What can be ridiculous that a person, who has been accused of economic offenses and is in jail due to this, is now teaching a lesson on economic issues?” he asked.

Criticising the Congress party for its involvement in many scams Shahdeo said that Congress has a long history of indulging in scams.

“That is why, when Chidambaram came out of jail, the Congress MPs got up and greeted him as if he had gone to jail for agitating on the issue of mass interest. He made a lot of allegations about the economy of the country, but did not say that the GDP of the economy had gone below the present level during Manmohan Singh’s regime,” he added.

Taking a jibe at the grand old party the State BJP Spokesperson said that in fact, the Congress does not have issues as most of its leaders are either in jail or have been out on bail.

“And this is the Congress present condition and that is today’s political reality as well. The public will deny the Congress party and their leaders who are indulging in corruption cases in the upcoming Assembly elections,” he added.
